Ethics and Policies
Natural Sciences and Applied Technology is committed to maintaining high standards of editorial integrity and quality. Our policies ensure transparency, rigorous peer review, and ethical publishing practices. Below is a detailed overview of our editorial policies, which align with internationally recognized guidelines for scholarly publishing.
1. Peer Review Process
We employ a double-blind peer-review process to ensure unbiased and thorough assessment. Each submission is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers selected based on expertise and field relevance. Reviewers are asked to evaluate the manuscript's originality, technical soundness, validity of research, clarity of presentation, and significance to the field. We aim for a timely review process, with initial decisions typically rendered within 4-6 weeks.
Reviewer Confidentiality: Identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the process to ensure impartiality.
Editorial Decision: The final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editors, considering reviewers’ recommendations. Decisions include acceptance, minor or major revision, or rejection.
2. Ethical Responsibilities
Natural Sciences and Applied Technology upholds strict ethical standards in research and publication practices, following the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors, reviewers, and editors must adhere to these principles.
Authorship and Contribution: All listed authors should have made a significant contribution to the research and manuscript preparation. Changes to authorship after submission require written consent from all authors.
Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence their research. Reviewers and editors must also declare any conflicts of interest and, if necessary, recuse themselves from the review process.
Data Transparency and Reproducibility: Authors are required to provide clear data descriptions and methods to allow replication of findings. Raw data should be accessible upon request and may be published as supplementary materials, where applicable.
Plagiarism and Duplicate Publication: Plagiarism is strictly prohibited, and all manuscripts undergo similarity checks. Submissions must be original and not under consideration by other journals. Any attempt at duplicate publication will result in rejection and further action, in line with COPE guidelines.

Retractions and Corrections: Articles may be retracted or corrected if ethical violations or significant errors are discovered post-publication. Such actions are clearly documented to maintain transparency and trust in published content.
Human and Animal Rights: Research involving human participants or animals must comply with ethical standards. Authors must confirm that all experiments were conducted according to relevant guidelines, and studies involving humans or animals require documented ethical approval.
5. Data Sharing and Transparency
To promote transparency, authors are encouraged to share data relevant to their research findings. All data underlying reported results should be made available in a repository or as supplementary files, and authors should provide details on data accessibility.
Data Availability Statements: Authors should include a statement detailing the availability of supporting data. If data cannot be shared publicly due to restrictions, this should be clearly stated, along with details on how data may be accessed under restricted conditions.
